.msi fails to install

Greetings, I am having an issue install software from an MSI installer. Its called ActiveCielnt.

If use the Gecko installer, it just fails. If use Winetricks to install the Windows Installer 2.0, then I get a "Bad command line options" error. This setup works on a "real" windows install, but I can't seem to get it to work with WineSkin at all.

Any assistance is appreciated.

sometimes some programs just will not install right... it happens.

If your talking about ActiveClient for the military which uses CAC card readers, its unlikely you'll ever get it to work.

If you want to keep trying, your best bet is to make sure a full version of IE7 is installed in the wrapper first through Winetricks, but know that SSL and encryption things through that are highly problematic.

Yes, that is the one.

Part of the problem seams to be the crypo dll's from windows just aren't there. Without an opensource version (or ripping them froma "real" windows install, I think you are correct in that I won't be able to get it to work.

I did finally get the installer to work, but then the VM was unable to find "any" fonts at all. I think this will be a fairly "long term project" that I will just play around with from tiem to time.
